Jon kicked his career off in a non-traditional way. Originally obtaining a degree in Aviation from Montana State University, he found that the mechanic life was much more ideal while he was working his way through school. He then worked down south on mainly automotive vehicles until returning to Montana to further his diesel repair education. Jon found himself in the private sector working on construction, mining, and landscaping equipment. Jon is incredibly tech-savvy, precise, can find almost any part you need, and is the proud owner of the shop dog, Maisy.

Drew graduated from WyoTech with a degree in Advanced Diesel Technology and Applied Service Management. Drew went to work for a mom & pop shop in southwest Montana for four years working on mainly agriculture equipment and light to heavy duty diesel vehicles. Once settled in Helena, he moved to the private sector of the repair industry and worked on anything from small engines to large excavators. Drew is knowledgeable, detailed, loves a good challenge and can lay a pretty fat bead when welding. In his free time, you can find Drew working on a personal vehicle or playing video games with his friends.
Courtney has a degree in Secondary Education and English from the University of Montana Western but being the office administrator for Blue Collar Diesel is where her talent is best put to use. Courtney has a few years of experience being a parts manager and in equipment sales. Courtney is very organized, personable, enjoys reading books, anything outdoors, and wrangling the shop dogs.
While gaining experience & working in the diesel repair industry, we became increasingly aware of the need for more and better quality diesel engine repair services in Helena and the surrounding areas.
We saw an opportunity to not only serve our community but grow in our profession on a larger scale. We knew we had our hearts in the right place when our goal was not solely financial, but to run a business that would allow us to take care of the hard working people in our community who rely on affordable, quality repair services. Our foundation is built on helping businesses do business. Our team fully understands what it means to have equipment up and running and how costly it can be to have it broken down. We want to work hard for ourselves, we want to work hard for the hard working.
We started out at Drew & Courtney’s kitchen table crunching numbers and making plans. In a few months, we upgraded to Jon’s garage and billed out our first invoice. Thankfully, we have incredible family members and customers who believed in us enough to help open the doors to Blue Collar Diesel & Equipment Repair in November of 2021.
Our mission is simple, we intend to give our customers the best quality of repair services in Central Montana.
